Edward trained at Rose Bruford College (European Theatre Arts) and Real Escuela Superior de Arte Dramatico de Madrid (Teatro de Gesto). Whilst studying he also trained and worked with the European theatre companies Song of the Goat (Poland), Theatre Delicatessen (London), Vertico (Madrid) and Awake Projects (Sweden) experiencing a wide and diverse range of contemporary theatre practices.

Edward's first production with Spindrift was 'Cydonia: Marsiah' and the two companies created 'Observations of a Stick Stirrer' together.
